Dialog Community Guidelines

The rules that keep Dialog a place people actually want to be.

Dialog is for chatting, calling, and hanging out with people you choose. These guidelines (the DCG) apply everywhere on Dialog — direct messages, group chats, calls, avatars, names and descriptions. Breaking them can get your message reported and your account marked unstable, temporarily banned, or permanently removed.

See something that breaks these rules? Right-click (or long-press) the message and choose Report message. A moderator reviews every report and decides what happens.

The rules

1. No harassment or bullying

No targeted insults, intimidation, or repeated unwanted contact. Disagreeing is fine; making someone's life miserable is not.

2. No hate speech or discrimination

No attacks or slurs based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability.

3. No threats or violence

Don't threaten harm, promote violence, or wish harm on anyone. Credible threats may be reported to the authorities.

4. No NSFW or inappropriate content

No sexual, graphic, or explicit content shared without consent or context, and never involving minors.

5. No spam or scams

No unsolicited advertising, phishing, malware, crypto/investment scams, or mass unsolicited messaging.

6. No doxxing or sharing private info

Don't post anyone's private information (address, phone, documents, real name if undisclosed) without their explicit consent.

7. No illegal content or activity

Don't use Dialog for anything that breaks the law, or to share content that is illegal to possess or distribute.

8. No impersonation

Don't pretend to be another person, a brand, or Dialog staff in a way meant to deceive.

9. No self-harm or dangerous behavior

Don't encourage self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or other dangerous acts. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out to local emergency services or a crisis line.

What happens when you break the rules

A moderator reviews each report and can:

The "unstable" mark & appeals

An account found guilty of a violation shows an unstable tag with the reason and ban length. The mark is removed if the person who reported you forgives you, or on a successful appeal. To appeal, email support@dialogmsg.xyz from the address on your account and explain your case.
